Duddington, Northamptonshire

Following the addition of a bespoke orangery, the garden surrounding this limestone cottage needed a new layout.

The design combines gentle curves, formal structure and soft planting to create a space which brings together the traditional cottage and elegant orangery. A new sweeping set of steps connects the two levels of the garden and creates an enticing view from the orangery, which is completed with a water feature in the foreground.

The upper level of the garden includes a lawn surrounded by herbaceous borders and a pathway leading round to a small greenhouse and garden store. The planting is a rich mix of silvers, pinks, purples and whites with structure provided by clipped topiary and evergreen foliage. More photos coming soon…
